First thing you might want to look at is the torsion bar adjustment. At the transmission crossmember you'll find an adjustment bolt at each of the ends of the torsion bars. If there's a lot of threads between the bolt head and the adjuster, the bars are relaxed enough to make the front end sit low. If this is the case, Jack the front end of the truck and tighten the adjustment bolts equally(about a 1/4" inch at a time) until you have the ride height you want or need.
