Hello All:
With all the information being given about carbs, distributors, V-8 convertions, and disk brakes,... I still have'nt seen anything about where to find the 1.8 rebuild kit. I have a 1972 LUV with a near perfect body and mint condition interior. My problem lies in the motor. It runs good as a daily driver ( 48 miles round trip to work & back home ) but it leakes oil in the 2nd & 4th piston. I guess I just want to rebuild the entire motor and need a COMPLETE rebuild kit. Does anyone know where I might find one? Any help would be apreaciated.[/b]

i got mine from http://www.northernautoparts.com they were the cheapest. not sure if they have one for a 72, mine is a 81. i know the motors are different but they might have a kit for your motor.

Thanks.....Its a great site. Now I know where to go when I have enough money for a high preformance engine.

But someone else might need a new kit. He's just trying to share the info with us. Should he have started a new thread instead of adding to this old one?
