Well as you all know I have a weber for my truck, it purrs like a kitten , but there is still one problem, it will not idle with the choke flaps open after it warms up, I had to disconnect the electric choke so it would not open so it will idle. Do you guys think there is an air leak or something. I sprayed starting fluid around the intake manifold to see if there was a leak but it did not idle up when I did this so I havent a clue if you guys have any suggestions let me know. Thanks Shane

sounds like the weber is plugged up. if it is halfway clogged it will not run un choked. basically its not getting enough fuel so its getting too much air, so when its choked it reduces the air intake and lets it run okay. i'd say try richening the the mixture or tear it down and make sure nothing is plugged up.

on these webers there is two jets or whatever they are that go into the two chambers, is fuel suppose to come out of both of these jets or just one because mine the other one is plugged up and I thought that it was suppose to be that way, I saw it when I was rebuilding the carb but didnt know, any suggestions would be great.

You could try the cheap way of cleaning the carb. Get a rag and a can of carb cleaner ready. Start the motor and run it at a steady, high rev. Spray carb cleaner down the throat and in to the bowl vent liberally!! With the motor revving high, take the rag and seal up the throat of the carb. If you seal in up, the motor cant get air and so it will suck fuel thru every passage of the carb in to the motor. Remove the rag just before the motor dies and let the motor build up RPM again. Do this about 3 times keeping in mind that the throttle must be kept open. If there's a restriction, this should clear it. I had to do this to my weber once or twice to get things right again.

its worth a try, but is that jet suppose to be open and is there anyway you or somebody can check to see if they both shoot fuel into the chambers after it is warmed up and the choke flap is open. thanks for the help, Shane

Dude, I thought you sold the truck? In any case, there might be a punch out that you have to well, punch out to make her run a bit better.

But then I don't have the instructions here.

Both primary and secondary barrels have a jet. They're both open. BUT the seconday barrel won't draw fuel until the progressive linkage opens the throttle plate and creates a vacuum to suck the fuel in. In other words when you put the pedal to the metal. Idle has nothing to do with the secondary barrel.
