have any of you guys painted your rigs in a maaco paint shop? about how much did you pay, and which service did you get? i need to paint mine, and i'm probably going to repaint it the original red. any clue how much this would cost? i've seen some pretty bad reviews of maaco shops online. i'm willing to spend around $600-700, is that enough to get a paint job that will last a while?

I'm doing a frame off restoration and a local custom jobber who does "drivers" quoted me a $2000 price tag for a 2 tone finish with flames. It would be interesting to see what others have paid for a decent paint job.

When i pulled my truck out of the weeds, it had major rust and some dents that where put in in when the truck was moved from one end of the yard to the other. My Dad and i spent all kinds of time removing rust and doing some bodywork. Rattle can primer to cover the fresh metal. That was about 70 bucks in supplies. Then i got a hold of a guy that painted cars at his house. Paint prep, fresh primer all over and a solid base coat of paint cost me 350.00 labor and around 140.00 in paint/primer and more supplies.
