a blower is just a slang term for super chager. It is possible, its just a matter of doing the research...

...but one would ask "why?" ......haha yup i don't see why its not doable, but i think money would go farther invested into a V8....just my two pennies

You can do it. They have a centrifugal supercharger that looks like an a/c compressor. It is belt driven off of the crank pulley. They make good hp, but it takes alot of horse power to run the supercharger. Turbo's are nice cause they are free power. Blowers are nice cause the power is always there, no lag to deal with.

You definately don't want a supercharger on a high compression engine. They make blower pistons for most engines at around 7:1. You could use a turbo for the 1.8. I think the supercharger would take too much power to turn efficiently. That is another reason I decided to go with a turbo on mine instead of an s/c.

I have to say I'm with smokinLUV on this one... supercharging the LUV engine just doesn't make sense. If your 1.8 needs a rebuild anyway and you decide to overbore a bit and maybe port and polish and throw a carb on there I would understand, but anything beyond I'd be looking for larger motors...
