Are all the tailgates primarily the same? Except for the 81+ I saw this:

I believe that 72-74 are one way and 75-80 are different. Tailights are under the gate on the older models and therefore the gate is a tad wider.

yup lights in the roll pan under the tail gate made it about 3" wider or so than the tailight along side.

So it looks like this one will fit the 73 in the bak yaad. There is another one up there for the 80's too that has a paint bubble.

I will have to look and see what the 76 has this weekend. I am salavating. I hope it starts 8O n It is 16 miles from the house, so I may have to piggy back her.
