I don't live on the west coast and I don't live in Mad Cow Country.

I live on the East Coast.

And I don't like Fix Or Repair Dailies. Thought it would be a good swap

A cow with BSE was discovered in Washington a while ago. And then last May a cow was discovered on a Alberta Ranch (Canada) with BSE. These were single case scenario's and were very isolated. This is the reason the borders are all closed up between U.S. and Canada. No cattle are allowed to travel across it. This is the main reason for the slump in livestock prices, and is why cattle producers (like me) have been hit hard. Cattle which have been usually traded for $800 or $900 dollars, are selling for just under $200 dollars. Just wait and watch your beef prices at the store go up, soon there will be a shortage due to the trading ban. Anyways heres my advice to everyone...."Eat beef, its good for you!" :D

Send me some beef. I will pay you direct. I hate 50 middlemen. My grandfather was a dairy farmer and I used to be on the farm with him for a while before he died.

He has me ruined on the milk in the stores. Rather get it right out of the Hef.

I would do that, but the meat ain't gonna get across the border. They aren't allowing any movement of beef across it. Sorry.

Gaaah! How about if we bleach it to look like pork? I don't care if it has BSE. I have diabetes and am likely to croak before I come down with BSE 8-)

Tell ya what, when this whole border thing blows over then we can talk trading beef. I like dealing between the customer and the producer. It makes most sense and at least the customer knows what the hell he is gettting for beef, your not getting stuck with some 15 year old bull thats is tougher then a leather belt.

I tell ya what. Some of the beef that I have seen that are American raised I would not even feed my dog. I love to hit the butcher shoppe when I can and get better quality than shoe leather.
