I just checked the prices at http://www.rockauto.com and came up with $115.41 shipped to McMinnville, OR. Your shipping should be similar. Their prices seem to usually fall in line with anyplace else I've checked. The bearings are most of the cost, about $50 wheel for inner and outers both. If you wanted to chance that the bearings are ok, you could pull it apart to check and just do the seals for about $10. Might be worth the effort of finding out just what needs replaced. As I recall it, the bearing races on the hub are none to easy to remove and press back in, so avoiding having to do one or more would also be a plus. I've never actually had to replace bearings before, just repack them, so it might be easier (or harder) than I think.

The only other place I've seen that tends to have better prices is http://www.overnightautoparts.com but they don't have wheel bearings listed for the LUV in their online catalog. You'd have to call them and find out if they can get them and what the cost would be.

Oh yeah, click the "OEM parts" link at the top of overnight's website to bring up a list you can pick Chevrolet from. I think they cater more towards imports so they hide the domestic stuff a bit. I bought some parts from them for my Trooper though and was fairly pleased with the results. Free shipping over $50 is nice when you're ordering bigger stuff too.

I thought I saw an 81 LUV in the Boneyard that had new rotors on it. Looked like it had all new front end work. Will have to make a trip up dere and look again to make sure I was not seein things.
