What is the general drivetrain info for a 1980 Luv? It has a 4 speed and a carbeurated straight 4. What is the block size, hp, etc. Also, It has no radio, or even a space for one. Where is an Ideal place to mount one? I got this from my uncle, he bought it in 87 for 500 bucks, he gave it to me because it "didn't run" ... I put gas in it and it drives like a freakin' bat outta hell! It started and went straight to idle this morning no problem, it was 28 degrees outside! He thought I could fix it because if you can fix my car, you can fix anything! I have a 66 Chevy Corvair, you know, the rear-engined, waterless wonder from willow run.

P.S. I've already gotten it past the 85 mark. Don't worry, I'm wearing it out so I'll have a reason to rebuild it!

If your truck had a radio delete all you need to do is cut the opening in the dash for the radio. It will be located between the instrument panel and the glove box. Take out he box and feel behind where radio would be and trim it out , take your time.

Everything is stock, except for a catalytic converter that was put on. How much, and what type oil should I use for an oil change?

I would say go with 5W-30, or another oil that works in the temperature range that you will be driving it. Like 28 degrees to 80 would be a good place to start.

should be the same, my shop manual dosent specify. I would add 3 quarts and check the oil level, then add the 4th and check again.

There is a pump(?) on the front right side of the engine with a vent tube on top. I think it has it's own belt. What is that? There is no belt on it?

That is an Air Pump if I am understanding what you are saying. Is the exposed connector square up front and on top? If so it would be a rectangle and would be the smog pump/air pump.
