hey all! Dottie ('79) has been running pretty well lately. I started having a problem with the turn signal switch though. The headlights would always click back to brights when I tried to keep them in the normal position. Then it became difficult to push the lever to activate the right and left turn signals. I sprayed some teflon lubricant on the switch. That loosened it up and it was perfect for a couple of months. But then the problem came back. I figured at this point I should replace it. I ordered a new replacement part that says that it should fit/work for my model but it looks nothing like the stock switch. What is up with that? Is there actually any way in this universe that it would fit? Every site that lists a new one for the '79 LUV looks the same (see pic). I just cleaned mine up as best as I could and sprayed it again and it is working fine at the moment. I figure that it will go bad for good sometime soonish. I read all of the turn signal posts on this forum and it sounds like I just need to buy a used one. Is this the only solution? Thanks!

Used if you can find one from a salvage yard, or really expensive ones from overseas! https://www.ebay.com/itm/315162181875

Thanks for the info treebones! Yeah, that is crazy expensive for the new one! I'll just be really careful with the one I have and hope that it lasts.
