 Post subject: 77 not starting up

When I turn the key I'm getting power but not starting up, it's not cranking any advice.

Battery charged? Might be power but not enough amps to turn the starter.
Check the battery connections. Make sure they are snug and corrosion free.

Maybe the clutch switch, if it has one. I don't think these trucks had them though. Is it an automatic? Could be the neutral safety switch.

I charge the battery no good does it seem to be the battery and it's manual

I was having intermittent starter issues, then it quit working completely. I took it out, removed the cover, and found the internal contacts were worn completely out. After replacing contacts, it was fine.

My Luv is manual and it has the clutch safety switch. Sometimes the wires come off the clutch pedal. I would also check your fuses. A process of elimination. After that you could pull the start and have a local auto supply test it.

I got it running I got a whole new starter and it worked first try , I'll keep all the other options in mind if something happens
