Having trouble locating a replacement AC compressor. Original is a Diesel Kiki p/n 9630-422. M197809 (model number?). Parts houses say it is a longer A-6 style compressor. Mine has different mounting points and is shorter than the prescribed A-6 type.

Can anyone please help me?

Not even close. Thanks anyway.
It is not a R-4 rotary type.
More like a shortened A-6.
I would send a pic but this site has unfortunately has old-style size limits on pics. Not sure why. You'd think they would increase file size limits to accommodate new type cameras.

This is what I use for resizing my images.

And as for the compressor, I think maybe yours is an aftermarket system then as I believe oldestisuzuist confirmed that there were only ever 2 factory types of compressors, the R4 and the A6.

Where do you live? If you have a NAPA store in your area you may can take in your old compressor and they may can send it in to be rebuilt. I'm not sure they do compressors but, it is worth a try. Good Luck

I'm taking a parallel route. There is a bracket to which the original Kiki compressor is mounted on the side of the engine block. Since the Luv came with both A-6 and R-4 compressors, if I can find the bracket that allows mounting of an A-6 compressor, I can forget about the rare Kiki unit.

Is anyone familiar with this ? And, if possible, any pics of a mounted A-6 unit would be of tremendous help.

Thanks,
Warren

Actually I am open also to installing an R-4 unit.

Like I say, pics of installations of both types would be tremendously helpful.
