Just got this Chevy Luv, it's a 1980, and I am having trouble getting it to run. Need all the help I can get. I'm pretty mechanicaly inclined, and I know some good portions about cars.

I need engine diagrams, step by step repair articles, and things like that. I need a good diagram of how the fan pulleys are set up and how the alternator, air pump, and fan are all hooked up. I need this info asap as well please, cause I need to get it running soon. Thank you for all the help.

I think for all the info your looking for you might try getting a shop manual off Ebay. There is usually quite a few listings for them.

Ditto on the Haynes manual. You can find it at most any auto parts store, and it has most everything you'd need. Depending on where you get it, it runs $10-$15, money well spent. If you need more specific info(Haynes usually covers most stuff, but there are a few things), try to find a factory service manual. eBay has them with some frequency and there are several places online that I've seen that sell them.

If you have a fair idea of the info you are looking for, defintely use the search function on this forum. There is a massive amount of info tucked into older posts and a lot of topics have been covered over and over again.

Hanes does have a good layout, and Kudo's to the site for it's diagrams, but has Chevy ever put out an official version to the public or is it stuck in a Mechanics Manual?

i would get the manual, what ever isnt in it or is hard to explain just post a question on here. I know that a few guys here (me included) have done full motor rebuilds, and i have just finished a full front end rebuild and rear end rebuild. Theres a load of experience here so just ask. :D

I need diagrams on how to get that stupid pin out of the distributor bottom so I can convert it over to electronic. Of course, I know that is like asking for a golden toilet.

But as far as the 73 engine, how the heck to do ya dump that manual choke? Get a 32/36 on eBay?
