Hi all,

I have a 1980 chevy luv. I recently did an overhaul on the engine, replacing crank and connecting rod bearing, new rings, seals and gaskets. I had the webber tuned at a shop to pass DEQ. I've installed a new fuel pump. It is slightly higher pressure than recommended for the weber setup. I tried to install a fuel regulator from summit but it completely restricted flow. (So this could answer my own question.)

Other than what is mentioned, the truck is stock with all the smog/erg stuff still equipt.

I have been experiencing a surge/lurch during driving. Kind of like what you get when in reverse. Always while cruising at the middle top of a gear and it seems like it decided to do this once it got warmer.

Thank you for your time.

Just a guess here but maybe a vacuum leak? As far as fuel pressur, I ran a return line to the tank so it's a fuel recirculating set up and the carb. just takes what it needs. Works good for me.

I will see about replacing the vacuum lines and write back about the effects.

Thanks
