Is anyone out there running A/C in their stock LUVS? If so, what compressor are you using? Thanks Don

My stock LUV is actually a stock P'up, but I'm using a genuine Isuzu compressor. The entire system was factory installed.

MY '77 LUV is missing the compressor and the mounting brackets. Been thinking about getting something fixed up to cool the luv but can't find where the compressor was mounted. Looks like there is no room at the front of the engine for the mount and compressor.

I have a parts truck that has a aftermarket system on it. I will take a picture tomorrow.

When working with an old vehicle, sometimes you have to use aftermarket components and have someone fabricate the lines for you. I had a local guy make new lines for mine. All the local mechanics know him, and he does work for a lot of the dealers as well.

Since you're in Phoenix, you might want to check with Arizona Mobile Air in Scottsdale for any parts you need. I've bought from them before. They seem to target pros, but anyone can buy from them.

I had a bad compressor and could not find a replacement anywhere. Ended up having mine rebuilt at a small shop in my area that does that stuff.
