Does anybody know what the float adjustment s on a 1980 chevy luv, in the book it says 21/64 and in the carb kit it says to adjust it level with the bowl

Are you running the stock carb? If so, there is a white dot on the sight glass on the bowl. The float level needs to be set so that when the carb is full, the fuel is even with that dot. The plate with the sight glass CAN be installed upside down, I did it once. The carb ran like shit after thet till I found the problem and turned the plate back over, and reset the float.

which way is the sight glass suppose to be on, its a brand new stock carb. I didnt know there was a dot, but I will check it out tomorrow. Thanks

I believe the sight glass is supposed to be near the top. Good luck :wink:

I have to stop licking my monitor.

Usually they have a dot or a line where ya can't see the thing. But commonly you can look through the bowl and see it. If you are level on that dot when it is running you are good then and you should not have a problem.
