 Post subject: perfect time to be cold

well theres another malfunction in the junction my heater core is pluged up so the hell with tryin to clean it i ll buy a new core is it easy to put one in :)

I have an 81, I don't know how much difference there is but I would have to take out my whole dash to get to mine. :cry:

Yup thats right luv355, take the whole damn thing out..... :( . Its a big job i will tell you that. I took mine out and never doing it again :lol: ....unless i get a new one! I don't even know where you can even get new ones for an 81.... :? I wish i had the older style LUV interiors though, much more character and "fashion" to them.... :lol:

I just did my heater core in my 1981 luv. I had to remove 4 bolts holding the air box in remove the switch panel from the radio slot, and remove all the duct work. Also had to remove all the cables that change the box vents. I didn't have to remove my dash, I just bent the metal under frame to create enough space to pull the hold box out. It was tight bout only took about an hour to competely change the core.

nah man i think i ll jus make an ok lookin dash use a piece of 16 gauge metal and bend a 90 in it and rattle can black plaz out some holes for guages and other stuff and before all that change the heater core

I saw a few dash conversion kits that would have been nice if you ever take it out again. You can convert the dash over so it is NEON. It was nice looking.
