For those of you that want to rebuild their LUV idler arm I may have some hints as I just finished rebuilding mine. To get the old bushing out, I resorted to using a small metal cutting saber saw blade clamped by a pair of vice grips. The blade is only 2" long so one cannot get 'carried away' with it. I just sawed into the bushing a few strokes at a time until it was almost cut through. Then I used a baby flat screwdriver to get under the bushing at both sides of the cut. Begin prying up until there is enough space for a larger screwdriver to fit. Work on it a bit and 'roll' the bushing out of the hole. Clean up the casting by using a Dremell tool. The threaded bolt part of the idler arm unscrews from the inside base where the zerk is. Don't try to loosen the big nut on the outside there because it is welded fast. On my steering arm, the inner (down there) bushing was in good shape but the upper was bad. My upper was bad because there was never enough grease that could pass through the lower threads to reach the upper bushing. I used a new 3/16 drill bit and drilled a hole down through the threaded end of the bolt for about 2 3/8". Then I drilled another hole sideways into the bolt to intersect the previous drill hole and allow for the grease from the zerk to reach the upper bushing. It worked great. I bought the correct 22mm x 32mm x5 mm seal from " Oringsandmore.com " for only 2.00 US + shipping. Got everything reassembled except for the seal and I greased the zerk to watch the grease rise up through the new drilled holes past the bushing and out the top. Then I installed the seal and was done. Hope this helps someone.....Don

Dumb me.....didn't take a one. Thing is, there is only 5 parts to the whole thing. Once I got lined out, I just "went at it". I used a drill press to drill the new long grease hole down the center of the bolt and the side connecting hole. I could draw it out if anyone wants it. I suppose it took about 2 1/2 hours labor time. Had to chase down the upper bushing and seal on the computer though.
