ok so still trying to get my lic on the road. put a pointless dizzy from a 84 in started right up but left the clamp to loose so lost timing. got timing back so it should syart but don't seem to have spark. i put a petronix coil in and removed the ballast since its a 12v coil. only getting 10V at the coil in the on position. could the coil have gone bad? ohms read good still. maybe fried the ignitor in the new dizzy? or is it a matter of bad connection somewhere? i replaced the fuse panel with a blade fuse box and coil gets hot jist sitting in the on position.

begging the Gurus for help it would be nice to drive my own vehicle to work. if not there will be two luvs for sale soon a 79 and 80 4x4 :(
