question related to the vented rotor conversion. I found a 90 p'up at the local pick and pull. will those rotors and calipers bolt to my 79? The trooper topic doesn't really cover the p'up. both my truck and the other are 2x4. Thanks.

Just FYI, the '90 was not a P'up. Just a Pickup. The last P'up was the 1987 model.

My bad on that. I'd still like to know if the parts will work. Thanks.

I'm still scratching' my head on that question. I'll bet oldestisuzuist will know the answer, though. ;)

Went to PNP this morning. Tried the fit on the two trucks. Just FYI, these parts are not interchangeable. I tried them there so I didn't have to buy them and return them. I will look for the trooper parts at a later date.

You can just buy vented drilled slotted rotors for your truck on ebay. I had it on my last LUV which was a 79.

I found some drilled and slotted or dimpled and slotted from Cquence performance. They are about $52 for the dimpled and slotted. Those seem to be for a bit heavier braking than normal driving. Since we are LUV owners i don't think we are normal. The trooper dimensions are one mm different in diameter than stock. Stock trooper rotors are pretty cheap at rock auto also.
