Has anyone ever had to replace one of the sliding panels in a stock sliding rear window in a LUV ? I got carried away with a piece of firewood, so now I have to get either that one panel replaced or the entire window, I suppose. I took the truck to a replacement glass place here locally where I live, but they couldn't figure out how to get just one panel back into the window. I was able to get the molding out of the track....this piece goes along one side of the glass panel that slides, it's the piece that has one side of the latch that holds the two sliding panels together. The trick will be, after the molding is attached to a piece of glass, how to get it back into the track of the window unit.

I'd appreciate anyone's suggestions or experiences if you have them. Thanks !!

I would get a 2nd opinion at a different shop. I would think they could make a template up, and cut the class to fit. It's not curved like the windshield. As for the molding, the shop I been too do have generic molding.
