75 Luv timing is 12 degrees btdc as in the picture not 6 degrees. 76 and up are 6 degrees btdc.

A good way to determine the correct timing is to identify the motor. The 72-75 motors have the intake an exhaust on the same side and the timing should be 12°. The 76-82 motors have the intake and exhaust on different sides. It's possible you may have a 75 titled as a 76 or vice-versa.

It turned out there was only 3 timing marks and i checked my manual and it said 12* to so i think i might have a later model hood. But my engine does have both intake and exhaust manis on the same side. I got my petronix installed and all timed and its running good.
