I am looking at replacing my front brake lines, they are old and cracked... and I think they may be letting a tiny bit of air into the system but I am not certain. Anyways, why did Isuzu install a two piece rubber hose for the front brake lines? They are not cheap to replace, napa has them at $100 a piece currently. Granted, looks like they are made by Rancho.

Thinking about buying some universal braided stainless steel brake lines instead of the factory rubber line replacements, thoughts on this? Would be cheaper with the braided lines...

Thanks for the input.

My bad, I always forget to say the year info. 1980 Mikado 4x4.

Just seeing your pic, my brake line is different. Mine goes in front of the front "axle" and then goes to a mount on the lower suspension arm. At that point, it connects to a second rubber line, that one runs to the caliper. Of course the napa picture is not correct, anyways it is $84 for their replacement parts per side.

Been talking to some 4x4 guys, sounds best to just get custom made brake lines. Would be cheaper too. I do plan to lift my truck so lines with a little more length would be good.
