there isnt a switch perse. What it is is a relay that interfaces whith the oil presure sending unit. If oil presure dropps too low then the motor cuts out. At least this is my understanding of the system. I would start whith the oil sending unit and make shure its good(does your OIL light come on at all?)

My oil light doesnt come on, the reason I was asking about the fuel pump cut off switch is because when I was looking up parts for my luv it said that they had a fuel pump cut off switch for my truck so I just wanted too see if anybody knew anything about or knew where it was at. But I will look further into it :!:

The fuel pump relay is mounted on the passenger side fender, under the hood, on a silver plate. The relay is mounted on the back side of the plate. I had hell with mine a while back. Finally got a new relay wired in.

to top it all off the relay is only energized when the key is in the START position or the alternator is supplying power. That prevents the fuel pump from pumping gas when the engine is not running.

That is correct. A ground to the relay is only supplied AFTER the key has been turned from off to start and returned to the run position. That is so messed up.

no think its alot better than the ford inertia switch
I think its a safety feature that was head of its time, if the luv rolls or is in a bad wrekc and the motor stalls, there is no risk of gas dumping all over the place, i think thats good thought.

The only one that I am aware of is a float that pops in so that if it flips over it cuts the gas off. Never heard of another one.
