Does my wiring seem to be ok?
I got new coil and Ballast Resistor as having issues with starting the truck after the new Weber 32/36.
I tested the wiring with my multi-meter and I am getting 12V at all 4 points (2 points on coil and 2 points on ballast). I keep the red wire on the battery from MM and the black wire to each point and I get 12V is that right?
seems like the Positive (+) on the coil should be 0 with the red wire from MM touching the + on battery, but I get 12V thinking that the Coil + is being grounded.
Can any one clarify?

thanks

The way you are using your meter, you will get 0 volts or 12 volts depending if the points are open or closed with the engine at rest. A better/easier way is put the mm - lead on the neg battery terminal or clip it to any metal ground. Use the + lead to measure with.
