Is there a way to test the fan as my Stepside has not worked since I got it in July? I want to see if I need to replace the heater fan motor or if there is a sensor or relay that needs replacement.

Also has anyone replaced a heater fan motor? Do I need to remove the dash ect?

thanks
Matt

I would first check your fuses. Next I would see if the wires going to the fan have power and see if you getting power. I've used the continuity tester (looks like a needle with a lightbult in it). See if you have power first before replacing the fan motor.

Ok so I have checked the wires and I do have power to the connector at the Fan motor. Where are the fuses for the fan motor? Are they the ones coming out of the fan motor and taped around it with wire connecting them?

thanks

If stock wiring, the fuse box is the only place for fuses. I can't remember how the ground wire hooks to the fan motor, but trace that out, and make sure it's making a good ground.
