My son is trying to do a head gasket on his LUV and a head bolt stripped out. ( the allen part). anybody know how to remove the bolt? It seems to be very tight and the Allen gave up before the bolt broke loose. All the others came out fine.

They make ease outs for allen bolts, try McMaster-Carr. Or, do like I do at work a lot. I take another allen bolt (they are usually grade 8, need the hardness) and I grind 5 or six sides on the tip at a slight angle and drive it in the rounded out part. If that don't work, weld a bolt to the head of the busted one...

Any way to get a pipe wrench on it, or is it lack of room?

Weld a lug nut to the top of it.
I've done it a couple of times.

FYI for a replacement bolt the G180Z, G200Z, 4ZD1/C1 & 4ZE1 all use the same head bolts.

He hammered a bolt into the head bolt and welded it. That bolt broke, but left some of it's threads. Then he threaded a nut onto that bolt and welded it. The head bolt broke loose and came out,but it tough all the way out. But he got it. Thanks for the help guys. I knew there were tricks, just couldn't remember which ones were tried and true.
