The only ones I can find are on ebay. $37 for 4 pistons scares me. I have the engine kit less pistons.
Is 40 over too much?

Rockauto.com has a very limited supply of pistons for these pickups, I just picked up a set for $60 including pins! And Yes 40 over is too much. They can only be bored about 30 over before you lose serious reliability.

Do you have torque and tolerance specs? Ive been debating posting the specs I have from a manual I took pictures of...
