ok guys and ladies I'm looking at the Mr Gasket 1651 shifter boot but the info on it says its 5 1/2 in dia the opening on my luv is 4-4 1/2 will this work before I go buy it ?????

That looks like it would fit to me.

I went to the junk yard and pulled a leather shift boot off a BMW for mine that was under $10. I cut the bottom rubber ring off of the stock one and pulled the leather one through the hole.

Just got it today and the weather doesn't know what it wants to do so hopefully to get to it soon.

working on putting the vinyl floor in then the boot will go in but it looks like it will be fine.
I will post pics after I get it all done.

This is the one I made from a BMW E-brake boot and the base of a stock rubber boot. My trans has a 2" thick piece of foam that fits over the shift lever and seals off the cab from the trans.

I broke 2 drill bits trying to drill the back 2 holes to mount the chrome ring

is where I got the vinyl floor it wasn't 100 fit had to trim and fit and the seat hides a lot.
I actually removed the seat and then put the floor in.
