As you can imagine I am very excited about this LUV. I have been looking for one for a little while now and finally got this one. I plan on redoing the interior and maybe cleaning to outside up a little too. The truck runs great and drives great!! The only problem is the speedometer doesn't work. Any tips on that would be appreciated! Will be posting some pictures tomorrow.

Thanks!! I got a 79 Mikado 4x4. I also would like to put a 4.3L v6 in it, but I'm not really sure where to even start! It has the original isuzu motor in it now with the 4 speed.

Interior has a few issues but i plan to re do the inside almost completely.

Tailgate is pretty beat so i will be looking for a new one most likely (depending on what i decide to do with the paint).

Welcome, looks like a good truck to start with. The factory paint can shine up pretty nice with some elbow grease and a good polisher just stay off the stickers Resist the urge to rattle can it flat Black if you can, a shiny factory paint job will look better in the long run.

Ya it runs good! Idk if I'm going to keep the factory paint yet, but if i do end up changing it i will definitely have it done right!!

Plan on replacing with a dome light from superbrightleds. Will post pics when it's installed.

Little temporary sun visor until I make my own (which should be soon). I also am going to need to get a passenger side visor.

All lit up tonight. Had to replace the side marker light bulbs, but other than that they all worked! Also just figured out how to put more than one picture per post haha

Had my wheels balanced and don't end aligned today. Steering wheel is centered up now and there is no more pull. Had it about a week or so now and the truck is still running and driving great. Got it up the about 73 the yesterday on the highway!!

Hey Lowery, don't just toss that stock engine if you do a swap for the V-6. Someone can use both the engine and trans. Thanks....Don
