The LUV does not use the same ohm range as a standard Chevy, with out knowing what the sender you linked to is on its range it's hard to say if it will work, my guess it's it won't be correct.

I'm not sure what that ohms range was on this one....( the link is down for maintenance /repairs i guess.)

I didn't recall read Standard Chevy, i did read no compatible w/ fuel cells
I believe i saved it from a Luv page ...darn maybe it was my chevelle page... too many groups n cars

my notes show the couple i have tested that & that came out of a Luv (assuming their stock) measured were between :

Spare Sending unit ohm range reads :
Empty 15.0 ohms to Full 119.0 ohms ...=/- 5. ohms & the one in my truck read
Empty 25.0 ohms to Full 126.0 ohms ...=/- 5. ohms

& for those reading here's a >> How to test them video ......find others watch a few and learn 8)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yU1BDBZWl8A

Once sending unit is out of the tank ....i took the cover off you see this.
This 1st pic is the range your traveling to get low to high ohms ...when testing
The 2nd picture show my fixed connection see that glob. of shiny solder..

Sorry to bring an old thread back here, but I'm replacing the fuel tank sending unit in my truck, and theres two wires that come from the harness, but only one spade connection on the actual sending unit. Can someone post a picture of the top of the tank for me so i can get an idea on the wiring?

Did you find what your looking for ? 1 Wire will be a ground and the other goes to the gauge

I believe that the black wire is the ground and the other wire is the positive that goes to the gauge cluster. Do you just ground the wire to the unit itself or just a chassis ground? I got in a hurry when disassembling the truck and I forgot how it grounds.

Jacobbarnes1 Depends on what pump your using. my stock pump has rubber grommets on the mount. if you ground it to the unit it may not ground ..But Grounding the wire to mount bolt will ground it to the frame.
