So the previously owner put some bucket seats in the truck (76 LUV), but didn't actually mount them. Not a good fit, I'm gonna CL those buckets and try to put a regular truck bench seat in there. But just from looking, it seems the trans tunnel is pretty high (by comparison, just looking at the interior of an 87 Mazda B series and the tunnel is much lower). Can anybody give some suggestions as to what truck makes a good donor for a seat?

I used a seat out of a mid to late 70's Courier pickup. It fits but tight on the sides.
it had a Toyota seat when I got it.

Well I doubt if I'll stumble across a Courier seat
The Toyota seat looks like it fit good, is that like a 79-85 era seat or an older one?

I got lucky at the junk yard with the Courier seat for sure. I think that is the year range of the Toyota seat but I do not know for sure, it was there when I bought the truck last year.

The last seat I put in mine was from a Dodge D50/Mitsubishi. It fit easily but is too tall, the seat bottom is closer to the steering wheel than a stock LUV seat.

I got one out of an 85 S-10 extended cab.
Had to drill new hole to mount it,but it's a perfect fit.
