 Post subject: Bucket Seats
PostPosted: Thu Dec 04, 2003 2:11 pm
Allright expterts, Tell me what kind of car I can rip some bucket seats out of that will still leave me with room in my truck and mount fairly easily, My 79 Luvs bench seat is wearing out and it is hard as hell for me to work on a box for the speakers that I put behind it. Plus I would rather have 2 buckets than one bench.

And does anyone know here if you put
1. New exhaust
2. Offenheimer Intake
3. Weber Carb
4. Hooker headers

How fast does that little 4 banger really go?

Jake.

I am using buket seats out of a Toyota Tercel station wagon. They fit great, leaves just the right amount of room between them for a consol.... 8) . Only thing is you can't recline them back very far because they hit the back of the cab, but thats with any bucket seat. And they are blue, and my trucks interior is brown, but some seat covers will fix that 8)

I would suggest doing a search on the site for seats. ChevyToyR got a good looking set of power/leather seats from a hyundai. You'd be suprised at the different seat that will fit, I'd say just do some looking till you find a set that you like. m2p

i have been thinking of getting a pair of Ford Focus ZX3 seats. I drive my brothers focus zx3 when my truck is broken and they are super comfy, and from my measurements they should work too. As far as fastness goes, they will go fast enough to be fun to drive but nothing super spectacular. I have perty much the same mods your thinking of (intake webber, pace setter header, 2"stright pipe, my motor is .040 over) and i ran it down the 1/4 (no official times it was just a stop watch) and it ran inbtween a 17.50 and 17.75. Nothing super but its good for a little truck :D
