I went to check my water level yesterday and found the radiator almost empty. I had a heater hose leak last year, and figured I had a new leak somewhere. I Refilled the radiator, started it up, and watched for the leak. Then I see water coming out of the modified dip stick (previous owner shortened it to about 8 inches total). Take the dip stick out and it looks like my oil system is full of chocolate milk. The previous oil change a month or two ago had the normal burnt syrup look. I don't see any signs of oil in the water, so the problem seems one way.

It seems to run normal. But I'm not restarting it anytime soon.

Is it possible I've just blow the head gasket? Or am I looking at a new engine here?

I decided I would take this time to overhaul the engine. While pulling the water pump off, I notice that it has been scraping at the timing chain cover and was the source of water in the oil. Is it possible to get a timing chain cover from anywhere?
