Well,I'm retired, and this is allowing me to do anything and everything to a vehicle that I can dream up.
I'm thinking that I'll just mount a couple 12volt fan/heater combo's under the seats, along with some modified switching and wiring. Nice even heat, even in cold weather and no having to run the water heat in the summer to keep the engine running cooler. I plan to use the little radiator from the heater core as an auxiliary cooler mounted with the main radiator and a front mounted electric fan.I spent 35 years solving problems on the fly with the local natural gas company and dumped 1000's of hours modifying my motorcycles. I've found that one can only watch so many NCIS reruns..lol

Oh nice. Sounds tedious and time consuming, but if it works, great. There is very little room in these small trucks.

Got this lot of luv stuff also. I'll know if it was worth it once I get it. I wanted a new hood locking mechanism that I fell asleep on.

We just keep bidding against each other on the same items. It's too funny.

I'm gonna go broke because of you. That was expensive. I hope it was a good buy, not easy finding nice parts for these trucks for me. You got to take what comes. Do you know what is all in that pile? Did you buy the hood mechanism yesterday?

This thread started out with some window crank handles from ebay for some serious dough.
Are some of these trucks going that direction as full restorations? Would anybody know those were
NOS LUV handles as opposed to early 80's Nissan Sentra handles? Not trying to be a jerk, but some genuine curiosity.. My truck has most of the factory bits intact [but in well abused condition] I might have to start being more gentle when I rip out the stuff I'm planning to upgrade. I would be shocked if every part on a LUV wasn't also found on several other Japanese built vehicles..??

Personally, just like everyone else here that has one, I like the trucks. It looks like these trucks are being personalized more than anything else. Even restored, at this point, I don't think they a worth a lot. Like everyone else here, I have an idea as to what I want to do with mine. There are still a lot of trucks out there that you can get parts from. I could have bought the parts I have bought used but I saw these "oem" parts and bought them. They should look nicer than the old or used ones.

I'm glad I was able to buy the parts that I have accumulated and will use them to make it as nice as possible. I don't know where else to get new or oem parts I'm looking for. I know I don't want to put Datsun, Mazda, Mitsubishi parts on the trucks unless I really have too. I've had two Luvs before this one and now, I want to put some effort into the cab interior and engine bay. I wouldn't call it a restoration, I don't have skills like that. I call it, cleaning it up.

Thanks, good to know. I'll keep a more diligent eye out for LUV parts and trucks that we might all
be able to use.

I'm looking to buy an aftermarket steering wheel but can't find the adapter kit to install it. I searched this forum, Ebay, the Internet and nothing. Does anyone know where to get one?

I did some more research, for those who need the information, the part number is grant 4164 for the aftermarket steering wheel installation kit. I bought the steering wheel above along with this kit, I was told it would fit.

I just sent the truck to the autobody shop where they will paint the engine bay and interior of the cab only for now. I decided to keep the Jazmine Yellow color. They said two weeks before I get it back.

I also bought a black carpet kit, some sound deadener, and a used pair of door latches ( one of the ones I had were broken).

For those looking to change to the aftermarket steering wheels. I received the steering wheel and kit but was missing one piece. It's a 1" spacer, part Numbers g10-p from Forever Sharp. This will allow for this steering wheel to mate with the kit and steering wheel.
