Are the 1.8 Isuzu engine tappets noisey after adjusting them? I just did a valve adjustment on the valves 006 intakes and 010 exhaust and they rattle alot even after warm I did it correctly as per the Haynes manual. Has anyone had this experience?

I can't see if you are 72-75 or 76-80.

Make sure you are measuring on the cam base circle. The Haynes tells you the position to put the crank so you can do a set of valves at once, but if you want to be sure you are on the base circle, you can turn the crank a little for each valve to get way on the base circle. That's what I did on my 72 (way back when, miss that truck)...

My valve adjustment seemed better when I did that, but maybe it was the placebo effect.

Good luck
