A few questions about things related to the 1980 LUV
The turn signal....
Does it automatically turn off after a turn?

Headlights...
Is there brights on the truck? The headlights I bought have brights, but I can't figure out where I would turn them on.

And basically is there anything quirky that I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks guys! You've been a big help already!

your turn signal should turn off when you turn, unless you don't have the stock steering wheel. you should be able to get in there and ajust it.

the brights should be worked with flicking the turn signal forward or towards the dash

I don't have the stock steering wheel, in fact I pulled it off of a boat. The steering column is all busted up and I only have a nub of the turn signal indicator, but I think I can rig it up to work so I can use the brights.

steering wheel shouldn't have anything to do with your turn signals...that'd be the signal cam. you can usually get a new one fairly cheap

Um, yes the wheel does, there should be 2 pins sticking out of the back of the steering wheel, the pins hit the cam when you turn to turn off the blinker. When I put on an aftermarket wheel I didnt know this and couldnt figure out why my blinkers wouldnt shut off, put the pins in and no more problem.

yes the wheel does have everything to do whith the turnsignals turning off. I put the mikaido wheel on off a little so now it dosnt work right. But it could be that its just realy worn, mine dont always flick off or only go half way becouse its all worn. If you find you need a new turn/high low beam assemply(the little box in the colomn and the handle) i have one that works on my parts truck whith a good handle.
