I wrote Just Dashes to satisfy my curiosity and thought i would share my response

I asked :
" I have a couple Chevy Luv dashes I'd like to consider having redone. It looks like a great job in restoring these vinyl dashes in the video, but i can't imagine being able to afford you guys But i need to ask to find out before saying that
anyways...
The 1st dash is like the one you have pictured on your site in a couple 3 pieces. ... the 2nd dash is all together and has a few cracks
like in the video & both would go back black.so No coloring....Thanks & looking forward to possibly doing business with you. "

The reply was :
" Hi... For a 1977 Chevy Luv, we make a reproduction. We make the reproduction off an original frame that we have here in our shop. We work off an original frame to ensure that when you go to put it back in your car you know it's going to fit. You'll need to send us your speaker grills and whatever pieces you might have from the dash as they tend to break in half.

Send color samples or neccesary parts to: Just Dashes 5941 Lemona Ave. Van Nuys, CA 91411

Cost: $1,200/each

This price includes that restoration of the dash pad in black. For any other color, you can add $100-$150 depending on the color. I've
attached an order form for your convenience. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks, Jason Just Dashes, Inc. (800) 247-3274 Just Dashes.com Just Dashes on Facebook

They aren't completely new. ....They use what you have and repair / re-Vinyl the top surface

$1200 Is the starting price..I just think that's too much i can figure other thing to spend that on .. but maybe demand is up so they can charge what they want

I cut out the dash frame out before scrapping a cab. I'm going to see just what i can do about fixing mine like they have done in their video.

Their prices must have gone up from 5 yrs ago. I wrote them to confirm what they done 2 wks ago ( their response is above)
It did say :
"You'll need to send us your speaker grills and whatever pieces you might have from the dash as they tend to break in half.
So not sure if you get 100 % new dash but for 12 hundred + you'd sure hope so.
