I've heard about stamped skid plates, and this must be one of them eh? Seems too perfect to be an aftermarket part. I almost pulled it but thought I should ask y'all before I lug that sucker on the plane home with me and it turns out it doesn't fit - Did the front suspension frame mounts change at all during the first generation? This is on a 79 4x4 and I want to put it on my 75 2wd. Does anyone think it won't swap?

Some rumblings back in 2009 about a stock suspension guard/skid plate here:

Some other photos of the truck if anyone is interested. I am flying so I can't carry much back with me but if you really want something I will pull and mail it to you.

It won't bolt up without some major modification.

If I remember correctly the holes are I. The front of the frame of the early LUV frame but there is no threads or nut behind it.

hmm...interesting That sounds more like the case I see...I can't see any major difference myself...looks just like my front end.

1 yay, 1 nay. I'll wait for a few more opinions to trickle in...I really want it to fit!

I don't know if it will fit your 2wd. but it is an original, not aftermarket, piece for the 4x4 trucks.
