i have a 79 chevy luv4x4, the other day it started running like crap as if it was bogging everywhere and then it started popping out the carb. ive messed with the ignition system a thousand times and it doesnt change. timing is correct. i thought it was a valve so i put mybrand newhead on and its still doing it, how ever itwas my first valve adjustment. seriously at a lost for words right now, any help?

Are the points burnt & pitted? Cap, rotor & wires all good? Carb adjusted properly?
When you adjusted the valves did you follow the proper sequence & are you sure the gap is correct?

Popping out the carb is nearly always too lean fuel mixture. Can be ignition related but usually carb. Something maybe partially plugging the main jet, water or dirt in the fuel etc. Concentrate on fuel problem.
