Hi LUV gurus
My 80 luv is having some issues and I need a quick bit of help. It has a rough idle and sounds like it is sucking bad when you give it gas. I've adjusted valves I've installed new plugs new wires new dist cap new rotor button new coil new vacuum lines and just had the stock carb rebuilt due to a faulty acc pump. I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on it's my daily driver 25 miles one way to work needless to say my wife isn't happy I'm driving her car to work so I need a fix asap. I've adjusted timing the best that's possible because of the rough idle and still a loins sucking sound when i give it gas and I've got a nice rich smell from the exhaust so rich it burns your eyes. Any help or suggestions would be amazing. Thanks

Most likely a bad carb. I know you said it was just rebuilt but very very few that are rebuilt work any better. The best way to go is get a weber and you won't have carb issues again.
