What are you running for a muffler? I wouldn't expect a big sound difference between the two the main difference between the stock manifold and header is just smoother flowing exhaust gasses

I don't know what muffler it has but I will probably change that too. It seems that most of the sound is coming through the firewall and I put as much sound deadening as I could on it.

Any other ideas to make it quiet?

I would definitely start at the muffler running a Weber, offy and pacesetter you are flowing pretty well thru the exhaust.
I know I hate my muffler I went too extreme and it resonates a lot in the cab

Could you possibly have an exhaust leak? I know headers tend to not sit right sometimes. I run a thrush turbo muffler behind my header and it's decently quiet.
