On my 1980 Luv 4x4, my right front turn signal has no power. I pulled the turn signal unit, and plugged it into the connector on the left side and it the light worked. So therefore I don't have power up the plug on the right side. So the next step is the trace the wiring back from the plug. Is there anything else I should check? The rear right turn signal works, so I don't think it's the switch.

If you haven't already, look for problem at the connector probably near the right front wheel. Three wire connector--Black=ground, green/lavender=turn signal power, green/red= parking light.

Egg, thanks for the wire labeling. I'm going to clean the connector. Looks like its a little corroded. Now that I know the Green-red is the parking, light, I'm going to test that. It could be just the turn signal wire versus the plug.

I cleaned the male plug well, but the female plug, it's hard to get in the hole.
I think I may get some spray from the auto supply for electrical connections (good to have for other needs).
Looks like I'm going to have to trace the solid green (aka lavender) back through the wire harness Plus might have to redo some of the electrical tape that wraps the wiring.

Good news, I bought a tester so I could see if I'm getting power. I checked the plug near hear the turn signal. It did have power.
I took some vinegar (you can also use lemon juice) and I'm soaking both plugs. I'm going to do the same to the other side.
I'm glad it was a simple fix, and not have to replace a wire under the dash. :D
