My black luv truck the fuel gauge always shows empty. Where should I start trouble shooting first?
Gauge to tank or tank to front. I will have remove the driveshaft, then the tank.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

Ground the wire going to the sending unit. If the fuel gauge goes to full it's the sending unit, if not check for power at the back of the gauge, there is a plug by the frame near the cab/bed. Look at the wiring diagram to determin the color code and ground it there.

Mine occasionally shows empty, it's always the connection on top of the tank for the signal wire to the sender, a good wriggle and it's fine again.
