I have a 79 4x4. Will 27/8.50 14 tires fit stock rims and work on the truck? It has 205/75/14 on it now but they need replacing. I want something other than street tires. Have been looking at the general grabber at2 14". Any input on these tires?

About the biggest I fit on mine are 205/75/15. I'm lookin at 215/60/15 for this summer. How big is 27"? I'm not good at that math haha

27/8.50-14 would be about a 215/75-14, about 1/2" wider & 1" taller than your 205/75-14s. Unless your current tires are very close to rubbing that much larger tire should be fine.

We had to shave about a half inch off the fender so it would clear. They still rub on the inside if I turn reaaaally sharp but oh well haha it looks good :)

My rims are 15" too so that makes them a touch bigger.
