Guys
I don't have an automatic transmission in my 75 Luv...but I am curious.Does it have BOP bolt pattern or standard Chevy? If I find one I might have to pick one up so my girlfriend can drive one of the Luvs I will have this summer.

The 75 LUV has the early g180 engine, it is differant then the later g180 engine, so you can't use the auto from the later LUV, and the BOP and standard Chevy bolt pattern won't work with either.

I might be wrong but I think the version of the 200 used in the LUV is the only one that will bolt up.

I know they came with the 200 metric, but I think the case was special to the luv. Its a long shot but maybe the same as a Vega.

Thanks guys.I know where there is a Chevette too.The guy will basically give it to me.The 1.6 might be a build idea for a turbo motor.I think they had oilers on the connecting rods for the pistons and piston pins.Maybe a V8 Chevette might be a fun idea..not like I haven't seen it done before.
