So I took my luv to get serviced by a mechanic which mow I'm regretting but I had an issue with my truck making a backfire type sound so he check it noticed something was broken in the carb so we just fixed it today and now my truck runs better but I still have that back fire sound comeing from the engine and I only hear it wen I am at a high rpm is there anything else I can check maybe distributor, fuel line, open the engine, timing or should I check the fuel mixture needle. Please help I really wanna drive my truck but I'm afraid it will go bad if I drive it like it is right now

Start with the basics.Check your points, timing, fuel(carb leaks) and keep going.Check one thing at a time though. That way if you change something and something goes wrong..you know what to change back.
