There are many cracks and even some missing pieces in my dash, I'm wonder what would be a good product to use to fill the cracks, I've read on here to use herculiner, and some vinyl crack filler, but I was wondering what my other options would be, as I want to restore this dash, since a new one is hard to find. All opinions and recommendations are welcome.

I can't give an opinion on fillers, but many owners have purchased the hard plastic dash caps that can be found on ebay. It will cover the entire top of the dash, hiding cracks etc. On ebay, just type in a search for LUV DASH and you can find several offered for sale.

I've had a dash cap on mine for 18 years now and it still looks good.

Say guys...on the dash cover, did you have to do a lot of 'smoothing' to get the cover to fit? Mine has a lot of 'curled up' vinyl and I now have one of the dash-mat covers on it.

I cut on the dash to get it level. There was enough left for the cap to adhere to.
