Thanks to dkay, I got a new Chevy Luv yesterday.

G200 with a Trooper 5sp and 4wd.

Trans is really loud! I am going to change the oil, is there any additive that will shut this thing up?!? It's really only loud in 5th.

Also my turn signal won't cancel. I have another 79 truck I can take parts off. What should I do?

Pull the steering wheel. There is a disk on the bottom of the wheel with 2 prongs that stick down. They bump the blinker back off.
Mine were worn. I slipped appropiately sized round tubing over them ( partially flattened first). Super glue and squeeze them tight. It solved the problem.
The whole blinker mechanism is prone to failure because it is made from plastic and cracks over time.

Hate to say it, but if it's that loud, it probably needs a bearing or two.

Hey! You go take that loud 5th gear and that upgraded transmission of yours and like it!

Sincerely yours,
owner of a loud, slowly failing 4 speed

If you do decide to tear into that thing and figure out what's making all the noise, this 5 speed teardown and installation thread may be helpful: http://www.isuzupup.com/viewtopic.php?t=2615#p34708
