Hey all,

I looked at a LUV tonight and saw what I thought to be original bucket seats. I looked through the 1978 brochure and saw a picture of a bucket which looks sort of like that one that I saw tonight. My concern is that the ones I saw tonight were black and I do not believe that black was an option. Is there an sure-fire way to tell that a bucket is a LUV bucket and not from something else? Can you post some pics of your factory bucket seats :?: :D :!:

Thanks

The factory bucket seats also included a bit different seat belt arrangement. There is a hard plastic shell around the latch end of the belts that is supposed to keep them pointing upright instead of flopping over. The bench seats came with a latch end of the belt that the plastic covering doesn't extend all the way down to the bolt, and the factory buckets the plastic goes clear to the bolt. Both of the ones I've seen though the plastic was destroyed and the belts flopped over.

They also had carpet covering the driveline hump between the seats.

I believe that latch portion of the belts might have been a little shorter on the buckets too, but I can't remember for certain and I don't have my pair of them with me to look at.

Great thank you so much! It seems like most of the 70's buckets looked about the same and only had subtle differences. I will look into the seat belts!

Thanks for the help!
